PUBLIC PROGRAMS

ArtPort Kingston’s programming is built along three interconnected directions, each designed to strengthen the cultural fabric of our community:

GENERAL PUBLIC &
”NON-ART” AUDIENCES

We engage both art enthusiasts and the “non-art” general public through dynamic exhibitions, rich contextual public programming and free community workshops, ranging from artist-led to gardener-led, and beyond.

UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES

We prioritize historically underserved communities that have long been ignored by traditional art spaces by inviting them to activate/program/occupy our public space.

WORKING ARTISTS

We offer vital opportunities for artists and curators through residencies, exhibitions with covered production costs, and networking initiatives from Kingston and the Hudson Valley to the larger US and international art scene.

Through this threefold approach—encompassing art exhibitions, curatorial collaborations, performances, concerts, film screenings, gatherings, plantings, youth programs, and diverse community engagement initiatives—we serve as a bridge between local audiences and global contemporary art practices, while nurturing the next generation of creative voices.

At our midtown Kingston location, we are creating an “ArtPark” where immersive experiences engage multigenerational audiences and make contemporary art accessible—a true playground for all ages.
